c,
what is going on here? due to the fact that the cas opens the injectors when turned manually i KNOW there is fuel at the rail, and the car runs when we spray starter fluid in the intake.

Do you have good spark? Make sure your coolant temp sensor for the ECU is plugged in. It's 2 little wires leading to a plug that plugs into a 2 prong connector at the bottom of your thermostat housing. If your CTS isn't plugged in the ECU doesn't know what temperature it is and pumps too much fuel. That was the issue with my car when I first got it.

Fuel pump? Does the car keep running after the starting fluid? Or does it die?

it did ONCE. i pulled the line from the filter off the rail and cranked the car and it loaded up a water bottle pretty quick so i was pretty sure that its not the pump, could it be?

I had the same problem you had. Do you know for sure that your getting fuel to the rail? Because the injectors will click with fuel or not.

Try pulling off your fuel line that connects to the rail, put the end of it in a container or jar, then crank your motor.
If there is no fuel, then try replacing your fuel filter. It might be clogged.. Or check your FP.:hmm:

thats exactly what i did... maybe my pressure is low, how can i check that?

I think you need a fuel pressure guage for that? They might have them for rent
at your local auto parts store. Unless you have your own.. I never done a fuel pressure test on our cars before. Maybe someone might know on here? Or try looking at the tech articles..

I had this same no start problem. I checked everything. I found out, the ecu wasn't grounding out the fuel injectors. So, I installed another ecu and the car started right up. Just a thought.
