yes they will work. i ran a search for the same thing and found a post where they tested them, but you have to use the evo retainers with the evo springs. the dsm retainers wont fit the evo springs.
 
no comparison at all to aftermarket ones but much lighter retainers and better springs...good for a cheap upgrade over stock.
 
the evo retainers are very light and the springs are an upgrade and must be used together. I would feel safe revving to 8k with these

i just got a set of evo 8 springs, seats,retainers, and connecting rods for 200 shipped...man you gotta love when those evo guys upgrade...LOL
 
Quick question....will even upgraded EVO valve springs and retainers work???

I think I have a set of Brian Crower valve springs and retainers in the garage...
 
Buying them brand-spankin'-new doesn't make much sense from a budget POV. It would actually cost you more than you would pay for new BC or Crower sets. You do the math. But if you can find people who practically give them away (and there are many of them out there) then it would be something to consider.
