I've got everything all wired into the ECU (white wire from UEGO into the MDP senor on ECU). I selected AEMWB in DSMLink, selected MDP sensor (because that is where I have the UEGO wired to) when I capture a log, the AEMWB value I have selected on DSMLink is logging about 3-4 point's below what the gauge is actually reading. At idle, my wideband gauge reads between 14.6 and 15.6 and DSMLink is showing 10.8-12.1 while logging at idle.

I've searched everywhere except the DSMLink forums cause it's cold out and I don't want to tear the ECU out to get the code to register onto their forums. I just thought that if I was having this problem, other's were having or have had the same issue. When I had the wideband gauge wired to the rear o2 pinout on the ECU, I had the exact same problem and that is why I switched the wire to the MDP sensor on the ECU.

Someone please help me out. It's not a major issue but it's just really annoying and I've been driving myself bizzerk (sp?) trying to figure this out. It' been wire this way since July and I'm finally just trying to figure this out. I know it's got to be something minor.

I ended up selecting the dynojet wideband option instead of the AEMWB and it's pretty much dead on from what the gauge reads and what is being displayed on DSMLink.
My buddy just had an issue with his AEM WB, it was doing the same thing but believe it was only about .5 off. He ended up returning it for warranty repair & they sent him a new unit. Don't think he's hooked up the replacement to see if it solved the issue (car in storage). I'm not sure all the specific tests he first went through (there's a post on the DSMLink forums) but couple things to check.

Have you tried all the different AEM WB options? (if you don't have forum access, you probably don't have the newest version of DSMLink & some of the AEM options may be missing).

Where do you have you WB grounded? I believe the proper location is the same ground as the ECU so you don't see a voltage potential between the two, throwing your readings off. If you check your ECU ground & the AEM ground with a volt meter you should be able to see if there is a voltage potential difference, which you don't want.

Yeah, I'm not on the forums. I'll have to tear the ECU out when it warms up a little and get the four digit code off the chip so I can get registered. So there is a newer version of the DSMLink? In my captured values options, there is only one AEM wideband I can select to display. I do have the wideband grounded at the ECU.

Unless you just bought DSMLink, yes there's probably a newer version on the forums. They continueously fix bugs & add new functions. Current version on the forums is v2.5.2.24 build date 2007-08-29. I remember playing with another buddies AEM WB & there were 3 or 4 AEM WB you could select from with the version he was running. It seems AEM has slightly changed their voltage output specifications several times (voltage output vs air/fuel ratio), which is why they have more then one option to choose from. Best bet is too probably get registered & then download the new version so you can try the different options. You can also get more specifics on how to test the WB output voltage to see if there's an issue with your WB.

I guess I gotta bite the bullet and pull that ecu out so I can get on the forums. It's more lazyness than anything. It's cold here and I've got no garage. What kind of new things are they offering with most updated version of the link?

Before you yank the ECU out, here is a link to a page you should read. I have just downloaded the latest DSMlink .jar file to update the link program running on your logging computer. If you download the file from my FTP and install it into your DSMlink folder on the laptop, your link program should get updated and you'll also have the other AEM WB logging parameters..
