Last Sunday i was driving normal(not speeding) and my car just shut off. Turns out that my crank angle sensor was damaged by the actual trigger plate that it self was damaged by a bolt!! Yes a bolt, and no timing didnt jump!!(lucky)
So i replaced both, the car starts right up! It was meet night so to test it i went. I parked just fine and decided to pop my hood to check it out, to my surprise i see what looks like a broken belt on top of my cam gears, sure enough it was my balance shaft belt
No problem, jacked it up to make sure it was on time and drove home.
Replaced the stupid belt, and now the car is whinning like it had a supercharger, i think that i put it too close to the block and its rubbing against it, but that is the least of my worries.
After taking it for a drive, i noticed a huge oil puddle under the car. I took it apart again and it looks like it was coming from the bolts that hold the tensioner down plus they were kinda
loose. My question is...... Lets imagine that the engine could run without those two bolts, would oil come put from there?

Sorry for the long story, but i needed to vent!
Ive been on this mission the whole week.

Guys learn from other's mistakes, this could have all been avioded by wearing my timing belt cover!!! Mine was seating at home while my motor almost went to sh*t

That sucks but i guess we learn that most of the stuff that is on our cars has a purpose from the engineering standpoint.. I learned that from my own set of mistakes also hehe.. anyway, how sure are is it that the oil is coming from the tensioner bolt? Is there any chance that a longer or incorrect bolts were used where the aluminum oil pump bolts onto? - if so maybe the bolt pierced into the oil pump assembly, cracking it and making it leak. That is one theory. Another theory i can think of is when you hear a whining supercharger after installing a timing belt usually means the timing belt is overtightened. If so then maybe the oil pump sprocket seal went because of the exceeded tension on its shaft. Is the oil pump the factory or aftermarket? I know that topline pumps and some other aftermarket oil pumps are known to have problems.

Thanx for replying.
Well, as far as the bolts i used the same one! And the oil seems to be coming from the left bolt it self, everything else is sparkling clean.
Ill try to post some pictures later!

Issue resolved!!!!
Just ordered from satan every seal, the tensioner and pulley, then i took my time and re-did the job and it came out perfect! Nice tension on the belt and no oil any where! The new timing belt cover looks awesome!!!(lower cover) mine was in really bad shape, so i replaced it together with all the tins!! I like it now!!!

Will post again a couple of weeks later! My six puck is starting to slip!!
