how can i take out the drivers seat when there is nothing in the engine area. i got all of the bolts except the back right out. that one is stuck. its just rounding. is there any way to move the seat so i could get a socket on there or drill it out?
im taking the seats out of my parts car.

i used pliers to clamp the vise grips down. that just stripped it. we tried hooking the battery up but it just sparked. i think something wasnt grounded right. but the 12volt battery sounds like a good idea. its pooring out right now so ill try that in the AM. thanks for the tip.
*also we couldnt get a good angle to cut it off because how far it was pushed back.

It looks like the blue wire gets the +12 volts.

i took some mapp gas to my bolt becuase it was rusted on, but since yours is rounded off i would take a dremmel and make cuts in the top and bust the top off and slide the seat out, i can make pics if you want for the cuts

i grab sockets that might work if i could just move the seat. thats the only problem ive had.

You can disconnect the gear driven seat adjustment from the front. Look at post #7. You remove the allen bolts to the right of the red box. Both sides need removed. Then just push the seat and it will slide forward.

Huh, would you imagine that. :hmm:

Kudos. :thumb:

i spent 2 days trying to get that stupid seat out. thanks to spooled u 1st i had it out in 5 min!!! the last bolt was stripped enough to get a 13milli on it perfectly and it came right off

LOL I was gonna say force a 13mm onto it. I had that issue a couple times. I pulled the seat up, took a socket and hammered the sucker on and boom, done! lost the socket tho... but oh well.
