Being a spyder, you have the 4G63. Easiest way to tell is the cam gears are on the driver side of the car. The 420A has the cam gears on the passenger.

You either have a 4G63 or 4G64. If you have a true GST, you have a 4G63 turbo. If there is no turbo, you do not have a 4G63, nor a GST. You would have a non turbo, high compression 4G64 2.4 liter.

i think it is the 4g64, the gear is on my side. driver its a sohc 2.4, some people are telling me that it is a galant engine. i need a new alt, but i got a new one for an eclipse, and it did not fit?? and people are telling me the that motor is not the cars motor..., its not a GST anymore...
