i just got a 6 bolt block i got it bored .040 over but i'm sticking with the stock crank. what size rods do i need??

No reason to change the size of the rods. The whole point of boring the cylinder is to get a fresh strait cylinder, 40over is pointless if not needed. I would of checked bore straitness and find out how wide is the widest point, and if its <20 ten i would of just went 20over. That size over bore wont give you any displacement at all. Rod measurements are determined by length, wrist pin bore, and crank journal bore. Stock crank = Stock crank journal bore and stock length. And depending on what piston you will be using will also determine what rod, Stock piston=press fit wrist pins, forged generally use a floating wrist pin thus you have to use an aftermarket rod.

ok just making sure. because the guy at the shop was telling me to double check cause someone had gotten the wrong size rods and and it was off. but thanks for making it clear and it was bored .040 over accrording to what the machineshop guy said it had to be.... i'm doing alot or research for building this block but there is alot of different opinions specially reguarding the head wether to build a 2g head or 1g any opinions here?
