Has anyone rerouted their power steering lines on a 2g to and from the rack to get the lines out of the way a bit and off the strut tower? I hate having the lines going right over the strut tower and badly want to reroute them. I know the easiest way to reroute the lines is to eliminate power steering all together but I want to keep it.

Ive never read any thing on this but you can just get some samco hose for power steering and route it anyway you want it! Ive seen this done before on a supra before 1st time ive seen something like it.

power steering lines are high pressure. You can't just use samco hoses. You need lines rated for the type of pressures the power steering system sees.

I used Russel powerflex -6an lines and fittings and ran my lines down in front of the driver's side wheel. Then under the frame rail to the sub frame where I passed the lines in between the frame rail and sub frame.

Do you have any pics of your install or a parts list? I would greatly appreciate anything you can offer!! Thank You!!

Bump. I'd like to know how you did this also. My power steering lines took a dump on me and I'd rather not use hard line.

Ok i never saw this reply but you can use samco as they make special hoses for this kind of application! Hence why i said samco, i would not have said thek other wise as i do look before i tell people haha im not for giving wrong info.

You can use AN line for steering lines, however I am pretty sure it has to be teflon coated and I would only use the ss line as shown above. . .
