replacing turbo

I am new to turbo cars and bought a 97 gsx with a 6 bolt swap. It has a big holset on it currently but my turbo seals are going g out. My question is what turbo could I replace it with without any head aches. I'm also looking to replace the manifold as well. I noticed my exhaust is really close to the wires for the alternator, is there any way of a dressing the heat issue with the exhaust. Thanks

Well I wouldn't buy a new turbo send it to a supporting vendor on here, JusMX is highly recommended. It will be much cheaper than buying a new turbo and it will be rebuilt with genuine parts and rebuilt the right way. As for the exhaust heat issue with the alternator wires, just wrap your downpipe with exhaust wrap.

Was going to replace with a smaller turbo but I did plan on having the holset rebuilt.

Wrap the downpipe likr he said for the heat issue. And if you wanna get a smaller turbo a 16g is a good way to go. But I would keep the holset and just get it rebuilt. Im about to go to a holset setup myself.
