I have to replace my rings. Would it be easier to just pull the head and oil pan and do it that way? Most everything is disconnected already as I was planning on a full rebuild. I have access to a lift and all the tools. Or do you recommend I just pull it the rest of the way out?

planning on a full rebuild.

So you have everything disconnected and its ready to pull, but youd rather manuever around your fenders and bumper to do a rebuild?

You need to pull the block to wash it too.

This isnt even a question. Pull that thing.

everything engine wise is disconnected other then the mounts, but all the tranny stuff is still there.

so do you recommend pulling it with the tranny as the haynes says? This is my first time pulling anything other RWD so its kind of a new experience.

An auto tranny is more difficult to pull with the engine but if you have a manual, you should be able to pull it with the engine.
