Replacing Hood Latch Cable

I have a new cable ready to go to replace the busted hood latch cable on my 97 GSX, but I can't trace the path of the original. Couldn't find a single mention of this when I did a search either.

Has anyone ever replaced this cable and have some advice?

It should be tucked inside the engine bay near the fender or frame or you may have to take off the fender cause sometimes it is ran through the frame rail
