I am planning to replace my BOV and throttle body gaskets and I am wondering what kind of sealant to use when replacing the gaskets if any. My friends put lock-tight intended for bolts when they were helping me put my intercooler and 1g BOV in my car and I believe it has been leaking since its been installed.

I'll let you know for sure if I need help cause I know I will. Is it possible to have a boost leak and have a nice vacuum reading of 18-19 in Hg? I've been having this high pitched whine sound ever since I installed by new BOV and intercooler.

Well I am planning on doing a boost leak test, but right now I want to clean off my throttle body so I thought I might as well change those gaskets and the BOV one while I'm at it, gaskets are pretty cheap. I was looking online and noticed those were very common points of boost leak. While I was reading I noticed it said "throttle body butterfly shaft seal" was one possible leak point. do you know what this is?
