I recently bought a 99 GSX and it does not have the door lock (part w/keyhole) on the outside of the door. Does anyone have any experience replacing this or know where one can be found?
Thanks

Just fixed one of mine before going to paint.

Had to replace the door handle, but there's tons of those available online. The lock mech wouldn't stay in the handle as the tab had been broken off...the tab that holds the lock mech into the handle. This might be your problem...that and/or you simply don't have a lock at all. Not hard at all to remove the door panel and do some investigation, though.

On mine, I thought the passenger side was missing the lock cylinder. Turns out it was still attached to the lock-shaft thing, and the handle had broken, allowing the lock cylinder to fall into the door. Replacing the door handle fixed the problem.

Make sure to re-attach the cylinder sensor thingy, if it's come off. These allow the car to sense when the lock cylinder is rotated (i.e. with the key) for purposes of the alarm.
