So my transmission exploded, so I replaced it, and the clutch, (tob, pressure plate, friction disk replaced the flywheel) and new cv axles. Now I have no pressure in the clutch petal until I'm at the very bottom maybe inch of petal. And most of the time the clutch doesn't disengage fully so it dragging and you can put it into gear if your not moving.. So any ideas what I could do? Also it sometimes pulls itself out of gear when under load (it's a 4g63 fwd)

The shim pushes the whole clutch fork closer to the pressure plate. That also pushes the slave rod in further giving you more adjustment under the dash. Youll be able to turn the clutch master rod in more to gt rid of the extra play at the pedal. Thats how im understanding what your saying. I can say for sure that you way the fork more to the drivers side of the square hole.

Im going to take a wild guess that you are out of thread adjustment under the dash and that to take off from a light you only ave to lift the pedal barely off the floor.

Out of thread, no, barely lifting the petal off of the floor yes

Should have to turn the rod clockwise. If you run out of adjustment (which you might because of where the fork sits in the housing), then you need to drop the trans and shim the pivot ball to get the fork closer to the pressure plate.

I know this was posted already, but scroll halfway or so for clutch adjustments an other 2g info.

I had it turned clockwise and the clutch was dragging hard so I had to lift slightly to shift and take off and everything

OMG! Some people evidently have no idea how far a fork have to travel to hit the inside of the tranny. Use the the rod or pull the tranny and shim. Most use the rod until at some point they need to change the clutch then they shim for proper placement of the shift fork. . .
Now we are back to the upper suggestion. Op there's no earthly way you are pushing the clutch and its traveling too far too engage its not possible especially since your clutch is engaging 1" off the floor.

If the flywheel step is wrong (too shallow) the fingers of the pressure plate will be much closer to the disc. This would also explain the position of the fork. If ghe ops condition is as such I can see the clutch dragging (as fingers drag on the disc) when pushing the pedal down. Either way tranny has to come down and some thing must be fixed, replaced and/or machined.

I'm going to pull it after the new year, though I will probably replace the clutch and flywheel again and it's a pretty penny LOL

Push the clutch in in first gear, Starr the car, car jumps forward keeps going. Hold my foot about an inch higher then that (before I adjusted the rod) it would sit still and be able to be shifted normally. So you tell me LOL I've never in my years of working on fords heard of such a thing but it's the only thing that makes sense

It does sound like an over extension issue. Do you have the metal plate in between the engine and transmission? Either way, something is wrong with your fork, pressure plate finger, and flywheel geometry

Ill replace the flywheel soon, what one should I purchase?

What would I measure step with? What are the specs for it?

I have to spoon feed you? Machine shop will use a depth micrometer. Do NOT use a caliper. Specs are in the factory manual or with whatever clutch you purchased. Non oem replacement clutches will typically use something different than the manual. You stated you have a stock clutch so use oem specs.

Haha don't have to get mad, I've dealt with big power fords forever just getting to the dsm game, I like to have my information in check before I get into something, but thanks for the info
