Hey, I just replaced my fuel filter with another oem one, and now my car won't even turn over. Anyone have some information for a noob?
Thanks

Did you check your positive and negative battery terminals. Might have knocked either one loose while replacing the fuel filter.

Ya, everything's hooked up fine. I did the engine swap myself, so i don't know what I'm missing here...

Check the 3 fuses on the positive side of the battery. You may have blown the one labeled ignition. Swap it out with another fuse because sometimes its hard to tell those fuses are blown.

Do you hear the start solenoid clicking when you try and start it? Check you battery (make sure it's not dead), fuses and wires on the battery / starter

Fuses were all good. I don't know what the issue was, I thought it may have been one of the relays, as it was making some noise, but I left it for about an hour and came back with my fingers crossed and... It started right up... so, I don't know what the deal was. It starts up just fine now. Any other ideas?

Battery and/or connections. There are also two grounds and I've seen people not hook them up many times as they didn't realize there are two. One of them goes to the starter and it's difficult if not impossible to get the starter to work without it. The 2nd ground is just too far away.

If all your dash lights come on but the solenoid does not click then more than likely you have not connected the solenoid signal wire which is a single wire normally black with a white stripe. It's a double blade connector with only one blade used. Make sure the connector is clean.

It's part of the starter harness and connects to the main harness right under the thermostat area.
