Well, I got the car running for about 2 day and what a great 2 days it was. Until of course it blew the main fusible link.
Now at first, the main fusible link popped, the car shut off....and then after 3 mins it turned back on. Later, the car shut off permanently after about 5 min. Now you may ask...how does a fuse do that? The answer was the shop that did my work either used or missed the fact that the main fusible link was OPENED and REPLACED with a piece of wire between the two connectors.
So now, anytime I put a fuse in there, it gets instantly popped...I tried 2 30amp fuses and a 40 amp fuse.
My questions are
1. What would be causing it?
2. What are some good places to start testing?
3. If the main fusible link is popped, can other fuses be blown as well?
4. What does the main fusible link connect too? (I tried looking a a few diagrams but they are a bit blurry).
Thanks
Alan
