Removing Small Core Plug - front of block

It is the one that is on the front of the block above and to the left of the water pump. Anyone have any tips on getting this baby out? I have a bad feeling that im going to knock it in the water jacket. Any tricks or tips would be great. Thanks in advance. The engine is a 420a and on a 2g Eclipse

Just hit it out with a punch and hammer. Then get it with some needle nose pliers.
