I'm in the process of changing out me driver side CV shaft(half shaft). My problem is I cannot separate it from the intermediate shaft.

I have access to motoralldata and ondemand5, haynes chiltons and the dealership repair manual and everything tells me i can take a prybar between them and separate them.
I'm using a 4 foot prybar and the fker will not come apart, this is really frustrating. :banghead:

Does anyone know of a good way to separate these bastards from each other??
Or at least an easier way with the shaft still attached to the car, because I really don't want to have remove the entire assembly :/

Ya i pulled it all the way out of the transmission and unbolted the carrier bearing and pulled it out of the hub then put it in the vice with the part of the cv shaft that goes into the hub facing down towards the ground and spun the intermediate shaft while hitting the cv shaft end.

Ya i have been working on and buying parts for mine for last month completly redoing my whole front end right now up to like $ 5000 in parts so far and all i wanna do is drive it maybe by the end of this weekend ill have my motor put in :D

haha! good luck with that :thumb:
I cant wait till I can finally get these mechanical problems fixed with mine, other than the CVs and my trailing arm is boned, everything is perfect.
Then I can save up for a 1G or 2G manual that I can really start having fun with
