My feelers were touching the rotors and i had plenty of pad left so i just removed them, but now i am getting a clicking sound when i brake... does anyone know if removing the feelers would do this??? or is it something else that is making the clicking sound???

If by feelers you mean the little stainless steel thingies that go between the caliper and the pad to allow them to slide freely as they provide a wear surface.... a stamped brake pad and a cast rotor are not a good wear surface.... the clicking you hear is the pad binding and unbinding.....

I agree that removing the shims (that's the name for what Larry is talking about) could cause various noises, but I think the original poster is talking about the wear indicators and removing these should only eliminate noises. So I think the thread-starter needs to be looking elsewhere. Have you done the simple and obvious, such as checking the torque on your lug-nuts, looking to see if any wheel weights fell off, and making sure that you retightened the locking and guide pins correctly?
