Was wondering what would be the best was to clean calipers up. I want to take all the surface rust off and also flush out the inside of the caliper its self because they have been sitting awhile don’t really know what kind of dust/debris could have got inside of the caliper. Thanks in advance.

For the outside use a sand blaster, wire wheel or sand paper; whichever of the above you have. For the inside, a complete caliper rebuild would be best done using a re-build kit from Autozone and taking a hone to the inside of the caliper; but if you are only cleaning them up, just use some brake clean and elbow grease.

i have found out that resurfacing roloc disc's work great for cleaning them up and gets the job done really fast as far as the inside goes the best thing would be to rebuild them but if the boots and seals are fine theres no need for it take a pressure pump and see if your piston moves freely if it does just flush it out with some clean brake fluid
