So, my 99 gst came with a turbox manual boost controller. I've been told that get rid of it and just replace it with a piece of vacuum line. I've also been told to replace it with a digital boost controller.
Any one have any advice on which one to follow through with? Engine is entirely stock aside from a CAI, apexi exhaust and a blow off valve.

Do you have a boost gauge? And the mbc works just fine and isn't really needed much for a stock motor. You can't turn it up that much anyways without hitting fuel cut. If you want to run stock boost then remove it. If you want to turn it up a few psi then that's the way to do it. Unless you have supporting mods to crank up the boost a ebc is pretty useless and expensive. Your better off saving up for ecmlink and using there boost by gear, of course once you have the supporting mods ;)

If you just replace it with a hose you will run lower than stock boost (Perfectly fine, but slow) It is supposed to run to a T-fitting that bleeds off some pressure into the intake tubing
