Remote Start : Tach Wire

hi i was hooking up a remote start on my 90 eclipse FWD turbo and i cant find the tach lead to let the brain know where to hold the idle, without that it wont start ..... any suggestions

i used a white wire that was by the fuel injectors. in the little plastic case thing thats shaped like an L.

Try either pin 109 (white) on the ECU which is the signal the Tach uses or Pin 21 (black) on the ECU which is the TDC sensor from the CAS. The VFAQ site has the connector pinouts.

so should i just T tap into the white wire? is there a stripe of any color on it or is it just white?

I don't see how you know which remote start the OP was installing so I can't see how you would know that he doesn't require one.
