Relocating Cruise control (engine bay)

well some of you may know on tehe 90 1g's the cruise control is put by the batter/ic piping. Im thinking of a way to relocate it but am wandering if the cables will still work correctly if i move it, i was thinking of just bolting to the firewall, has anyone else done thigs, i havent found anything on it. thanks guys

i beleive its possaible.. if you want to just remove the cruise control or you could get a setup off of a 92-94 that is mounted on the firewall..
