So, in order to have a place for the alcohol reservior, I had to reloacte the battery to the hatch, no problem, but in order to get legal for the track I had to get a battery box and kill switch. The box was put in and kill switch mounted, but now whenever I try to remote start the car, it will blow the alternator fuse under the hood (80 amp). I had a 80 amp fuse off the battery which use to blow even before the kill switch was put it in, but have since upgraded that to a 100 amp breaker, it has yet to "break" when I remote start it. I have a red top Optima with 4 gauge run back and will hold 12V no problem if the car sits for a while. I had two amps in the car, but have a full farad cap as well.
Can anyone shed some light on why that fuse under the hood keeps blowing when I remote start it or will have to crank a little harder when I use the key. This problem began when the battery was relcoated without the battery box or kill switch, it would blow the 80 amp that was on it. Thanks in advance.
