I'm eventually going to turbo my 95 ESi. After reading around I've read that the Magnaflow mufflers sound nice and deep, so I've decided to go with one. Does any one muffler sound different than the other (both by Magnaflow)?

And what size exhaust tip is recommended? 2.5'' cat-back with 2.5'' muffler inlet/outlet?

Edit: What brand exhaust tip would you recommend? I want something deep.

Tips dont change the tone of the car i dont beleive, unless its one of those that have some weird stuff on the inside, no clue what its called, im assuming ur going piping, muffler, piping, tip, instead of hte muffler beign at the back of the car like it is stock? maybe not, but i would get 3.0" if i was going turbo withing a year, and magnaflows series are sure to sound different maybe this will help

Double negative :D
The bigger the tip the louder :talon:
Id recommend Apex N1 clone off el cheopo ebay if your just getting the cannon for a nice deep drone. But ya like he said if turboing is in the near future get 2.5 or 3.0 i.d piping but until then your gonna fighting the wind :thumb:

I dont understand how he is doign his setupid, pipes, muffler around axle, then pipes, then just a tip, or if hes doing it like every1 does it, a muffler at the end, if so the tip makes a diff, but if its like on trucks, and stuff where mufflers are b4 rearend, then u haev piping out the rear, and weld on a tip, it doesnt affect it, thats what i was going by.

What im trying to say is the conventioncal cat-back, with a canister muffler under the rear bumper, compared to a Truck/Older Car setup with a Flowmaster or similiar type of muffler, before, or right after rear end, with piping coming from the outlet, to the rear, with a chrome tip or somthing. Now that i have that straight, If its convention cat-back canister muffler under bumper 3.5 compared to 5.0 is going to be a difference, silencers tone it down alot, and resonators eliminate some raspiness and loudness also, But if you dont udnerstand ask me some other time im about to die LOL
