muffler?

my friend gave me his hp racing muffler that he had on his mx6 which he totaled when i took it to the muffler shop the guy tells me he cant put it in cause its too long supposely it looks like an obx muffler (ones on ebay) anyone know if its true im gonna take it to anothe rmuffler shop and see

You're better off going with a custom exhaust. I got a pretty good setup that sounds awesome from the local shop for about $350. 2 stainless steel resonators, 2 1/4 inch piping and a magnaflo muffler with a stock looking stainless tip. It looks kinda like stock and sounds awesome.

i have custom 2 1/4 piping no cat and a ebay muffler im trying to replace the ebay muffler witht he hp racing

but they told me that

never buy cheap ebay mufflers=sound like bees following you

haha, funny, but anyways, I would think almost (key word: almost) any aftermarket muffler should be able to be used, or at least, I'd think the one you have there should be able to work

A place called Custom Wheel and Muffler in Inglewood, CA. I don't have any sound files unfortunately. I will tell you that I didn't think a non-turbo 4 banger could sound that good. I specifically told the guys there about how much I hate Hondas that sound like bumblebees. Then he showed me his Honda that sounded effin great. That's what sold me on their shop. It was a lot cheaper than the aftermarket systems and sounded better than any aftermarket system I've heard for either the 4g63 or the 420a.
