So i have a Turbo XS Type-H bov. have found any way to re-circulate these so they dont. i have pretty stock 2g talon auto fwd. now. ive heard that to do a vent to atmosphere right you have to have a MAFT and what not, but i dont so what can i do? I've heard that this bov leaks air at idle but i have checked and none is leaking but what i do get is the flapping when i release the gas at low rpms. i think its at 4k rpm and up that it doesn do the flapping but under that it does. i have heard that if i had to install this on my car to try to fit as much washers inside as possible. well i fit all the washers that came with it but it just does the flapping. is there any way, ex. get a stiffer spring or fit more washers, to fix this flapping sound? or what do you guys reccomend to do? (on both occasions not just go out and buy a new one and which one to buy, but also on install as well).

Thanks for helping a newb!:thumb:

I suspect that the flapping sound you are hearing is compressor surge (bad for your turbo) which will occur if your BOV does not open. I'm not too familiar with your type of BOV, but if it is adjustable, I would recommend re-adjusting it to a "softer" setting to allow the BOV to open more readily. You are probably only hearing the sound at low RPMs because you aren't building enough boost to open your BOV fully below 4K.

I'd recommend a 1g bov. Cheap, and can be modded to hold 30 + PSI. Just get an adapter for it. You could probably sell your old bov and get the 1g and adapter, and still have money left over. Just type in "1g bov" into ebay and you'll see a ton of them. Adapter plates will come up too.

This is the 2nd thread you have started today on this subject. This has been beaten to death many times over. This forum is about performance. Venting your bov does not add performance it takes away. That's why you will find we have little tolerance for these discussions.
