ok.. this motor was rebuilt about a month ago. on its first start up it idled for about 4 min and the timing belt slipped off cause my friend was a dumb ass and didnt tighten the tensioner pulley. anyways i was PIS*ED so i went and got another head for 100 bucks. had it pressure tested and all good. got new head gasket, timing belt, and head bolts and put it all back together this weekend. well now it is getting spark, fuel, and is timed rite and itll turn over, fire once and wont fire again till that cylinder is ready to fire again. idk whats up with it.. what does it sound like? anyone have similar probs?

Ditto the compression test. Sometimes the timing marks on the cam "look" lined up but when the marks are actually aligned the exhaust cam will try to pull back a tooth but it will still look ok. Hopefully it's all lined up and we can search out other potential causes.

ok, heres where i stand. i have a loose spot in my timing belt??? anyone else had this prob? like when i turn it over for like 5 sec, the loose spot will be btween the cams. if i turn it over for another 3 sec the loose spot will be somwhere else.. did i put it on wrong?? and im 99.9% sure my timing is correct but theres always that chance, and i DONT have a MAF and im running a 16g and 650cc injectors.. its getting fuel most deff.. but its flooding it out fast. so could i just need to retime it and get that loose spot out and then get a MAF so im not getting near as much fuel? (by no MAF i mean its not got any type of air filter, air filter tube, BOV is to the atmosphere and its just "open turbo" ) just let me know what you guys think..and sorry im 17 working on my 3rd dsm and still yet to have bought a compression tester so i cant check it. its got new rings, pistons, and head gasket, and head so it BETTER have good compression.. if timing is off by a couple of clicks will it cause it not to build compression? im barley ever on here so if someone wants to text me at 765-720-9629 feel free to call me dumb if im missing somthing simple, im just here to learn and get a ride to my girlfriends house LOL

haha thats hilarious... yeah get a maf and it will run!! your computer wont know how much fuel to inject if it dosent know how much air is going in, but seriously...if you have 650 injectors and a 16g turbo...you should get something to tune it with, like at the very least get an safc

my car ran without a maf plugged in. it didn't drive very well, but it started and idled fine. unless my car is some freak, a car will run without a maf, it will just be in limp mode.

see thats what i thought to but im preying that thats all it is cause i really want my piece to run.:hellyeah:

Best thing to do would be put the MAF on, put stock injectors back in (until SAFC is hooked up) and recirculate the bov because a lot of bov's are open during idle which will make your car run even worse. Fix all that and it should run fine after you time it again

ok.. i need the maf, recirculation pipe, and i should be good LOL i dont have any of it.

ok.. just went and did a compression test and im PIS*ED!! im getting 120 in cyl 2 and 4, and 0 in 1 and 3.. could this be timing off a TINY bit

Do a compression test. Are you 100% sure your timing is correct. How bad did the timingbelt jump when you had it running the first time?

I'm not 100% sure but I'd say yes timing is off, to me it sounds like a set of exhaust valves is open or something because I mean 0 compression thats impossible for just to be rings and you said the head is new.
