Hey guys I'm going to purchase a 92 tsi awd next Monday, the timing jumped on it so I'm having it taken to a mechanic right now and its getting a brand new seal and gasket kit, new timing belt with tensioners, water pump, HG, valves, main bearings, and valve guides. I was wondering if i shouldn't have him just put in some Wiesco 8.3:1 comp pistons in it while its taken apart? If i do that should i get rods cause i don't quite have the money to get the rods but i do have enough for the pistons. Or should i just wait on the pistons and rods. My plan for this car is to have a 350-400 awhp daily driver just figured I'd get started on the motor while its out. Thanks for all the help. (sorry for the newb question)
