i am looking for a 6 bolt engine to rebuild, while i keep driving my 93 rs awd, and a kid down the street from me has a 91 n/t running and driving for 100.00. either way i am buying it even if i cant use the motor in my build, ill just resell it.

question 1, what has to be done to the block to use it? i know pistons are definate, but are the rods as strong as turbo rods?
q 2 is there any disatvantage to using this block? strength wise?
q 3 if i decided to do a 2.3 stroker, will this block hold the power?, and are the heads the same except for the cams?

A1 personally which is just my opinion i wouldnt use the block, and no the rods are not the same factory turbo rods are partially forged and nitride coated from the factory n/t are not there smaller and weak

A2 the block cant be as strong as its built for n/a application the head is the same the cams are actually larger on the 5 speed n/a car i think the auto car is even bigger

What are you talking about Ptown...

The blocks are completely the same strength. The only difference with a 6bolt NT block is that it doesn't have oil squirters (yay) and the knock sensor hole is behind a different cylinder.
Although your other facts were right (To the most of my knowlege) don't make assumptions if you aren't sure, we wouldn't want to be misleading people.
