rebuild the engine since i had bad luck

well i was thinking since i have to take the whole engine out of my car i should just rbuild it. anyone here tell me the basics i mean like i want to take my emmission out any one know a site where they tell you what to take out and yor car would still run fine. i hav decided that i will make a project out of the car i will slowly rebuild the engine since money is an issue i will get my parts slowly too and put them in. i am planning to go the whole 9 yards and get new pistons and rods and then find me a biger turbo. i am probably going to shoot for about 500. i am guessing its going to take me a year to do it. money wise. well if you can hook me up with your websites about parts and everything where i cnan get them for cheap but will handle the pressure of high horsepower engine. thanks

Unless you are out in the sticks, DeKalb County and further from the cities were emmissions are not an issue plan on a 3" high flow cat and block off the EGR valve with a plate. With mine set up like this I still have 50% worse to go with emmissions and Its legal Mine is only a 2.5" but you will need 3+ to get that 500hp number you are looking for. Keep eyes peeled for deals on Eagle or crower rods, Ross or JE pistons, to build the bottom that strong. ARP fasteners on everything (oil sump leg will require shortining for mains) so plan on welding.
