Hey i have a high millage talon tsi and i want the engine to run like it came right out of the shop and ice cold ac and all the good stuff. Im not really looking for perfomance i want RELIABILTY. Is it better to find a low millage engine and swap it or get a rebuild kit and do that? Im not looking to do it myself. I know a shop that does labor for a low prices for cancel out the labor just price for parts. Anyone have any recomendation or experiences. Thanks, THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT!

Sorry, im dont really post to much on here. Its had 150000. I blew my vavles and fixed it, my car starts to heat up when the air is on,my car justed started Smokeing big time, so i took it to get a new head gasket changed. Its a 95 Eagle Talon TSi

that happened to my familys Volvo(yea, I know, its a station wagon).

Check some of the fans that generate the wind for the ac. Thats what was wrong with ours cus it was wastin energy. Also, check your air intakes for cicadas. Ours was being choked out cus there were so many in the intakes.

also, if it overheats without the ac on, turn the heater on, it will draw heat away from the engine . . .

Well i they check it out and my gasket wasnt blow but my turbo might be. I think it is too. Aslo they change my temp sensor, coolant sensor, radiator cap, and took my radiator out and completly cleaed it out and made sure it was not cloged.

my dad has a big mitsubishi turbo cube van for his plumping business that over heated and scored a piston because the out side of the radiator and intercooler were filled with bugs and junk. most people don't think about the outside of the radiator. thats what I ment when I said clean the radiator. the fins on the radiator get filled with bugs so airflow suffers. Hope your turbo isn't blown and if it is that all the more reason to upgrade :thumb:

My turbo is blown. I can see smoke coming from it. They said my radiator was really badly cloged. So my used t25 is on its way.

you should rebuild the motor cuz then you will have NO miles on it......but if you buy a used motor then it has miles on it and trust me.....you dont want miles
