So I got a 91 tsi that I out a new head on and checked compression and 2 was 75 and 4 was 100 or so. Its a slow boy racing short block that has only a 1000 miles at most but was ran by the po with bent valves and probably washed the cylinder walls. So the question now replace with a stock 130k short block I have in a parts car or replace the pistons AMD check all the bearings and replace if necessary.
The head is a fresh rebuild with stainless valves and BC springs. Timing belt is an evo. My goals for the car are 350 whp. It has a walboro 255 and that's about it. So what do you think? Also I need to get this car smogged in CA so I can't do much other then stock to start with.

Are you saying you have a head thats rebuilt with stainless valves and BC springs and your still only making 75 and 100 psi on 2 different cylinders?

Yes. The head isn't the problem its the rings I'm assuming. So I'm not sure whether to rebuild it with aftermarket pistons or just swap the motor and smog the car and rebuild the other block for power later. My goal of 350 is what I would like and know a stock piston will do it. So maybe just rebuild the block with stock pistons

Well atleast if you rebuild the one in there you know you have a fresh bottom end. If you put the used one in you could end up with another wore out bottom end in couple k miles. I vote if you are able rebuild it then you know what you have, that's what I would do.
