Rear window louvers?

Was cleaning out my buddies garage today when he pulled out the louvers that came off his 76 datsun, we threw them on my talon for some laughs and suprisingly...I like it. The datsun one is way to short though. So does anybody have pictures of a dsm with louvers? Or better yet does anybody know if they are made for dsms, or if possibly Probe, or Mustang (any year really) rear windows are even similar to a 1st gens rear window?

Wow, this would be awesome. I would love them for my car, but people of course are gonna come in here and flame, I'm guessing.
I'm excited to hear if they do make em. I'll do i quick search.

Good, they seem to look okay, but the pictures are so small you can't judge.

I always thought a 1g would look cool with louvers. I liked them since my first car. A 87 dodge charger. It adds a really sporty look to the car. Gets attention too!! Its a bit dirty, but here she is...

I think a 1G could pull it off, maybe. It's kinda crossing Import / Muscle car lines a little, but it could turn out ok. To each is his own......

A buddy of mine used to have a SolarWing on his 94 Laser years ago and i always thought it look good. I even offered him $150 cash for it before to go on a 1ga talon i had but he wouldn't sell it. Good thing cause i don't know how that would look with the talons rear wing. I know i'm gonna be getting one for the 92 Laser i got now though!

A local Red 1g has the louvers on it. I like the look from driving by on the road.


That "upper hatch glass spoiler/wing" for a 1g, is that what its called? Solarwing? I love that thing! (low profile version)

My first car was an 87 dodge charger like mentioned above and I have to say the the louvres were are royal PITA. Every winter, I had to pop off the bottom catches, flip it up, and brush/scrape all of the snow off. My rear visibility wasn't hindered but I would never get them again with how much of a problem they were.

Its only two screws and it came with a nice prop just for that! Haha My rear defrost didn't work either, so I always kept a flat head in the glove box!

I solved that problem by parking in my heated garage every night!! Thing was my first car too, and I babied the hell out of it. 2.2 ftw

I found ABS plastic louvers for a 90-94 eclipse.

I don't think louvers work well on our cars because of the huge rear 1/4 windows.

I had an 89 Shelby Z Daytona that had louvers. Perhaps louvers from those would fit? They are a pretty similar body style.

I have had therm on 280zx, 300zx and Dodge Daytona Shelby Z - but never saw any for a 2G.
