I was removing my rear struts and on one side the lower mount won't let go of the strut.
Here is what I've tried. Lots of Penetrating lube, hammer, chezel, sledge hammer, air hammer, 2' pry bar, then finally 3 jaw pullers. I got both shocks off the posts, but on one side the inner sleve of the bushing stayed on the post.
The sleve is seized up on the post pretty good. Any suggestions on how to get it off. I might try using some heat and doing the thermal shock idea, or cutting the sleve with a dremmel, and then trying to peel it off. But, I don't really like to heat suspension parts, and I don't want to cut into it with a dremmel because I don't want to harm the post that the sleve is stuck on.
What should I do?
Thanks,
Kevin
