So I am trying to put my rear strut bar in and cant seem to fit my socket over one of the nuts, how did everyone go about this? I think i had a wrench last time i did it but still couldnt get a good grip on it and didnt end up tightening all the way. If i take off the plastic housing i dont think i could put it back on after i install the bar could i?

Also noticed some buildup on the struts, should i be worried? What should i do about this/

I used a long extension with a deep well. However the previous owner already had it cracked so I could just push sideways and it moved the plastic enough.
However if you dont want to break yours why not get a swivel head?
