I have my GSX in the shop right now, while the car is on the lift, I noticed that one of the mount points for the oem rear strut brace was off abit

I also noticed some black duct tape on one of the mounts, WTF?

my rear driver wheel wabbles abit, I always thought that I bent the rim abit, but im thinking that this might have something to do with it?

That's your anti roll bar, I don't see anything noticably wrong.

If you wheel wobbles and its not a rim look at you bushings, ball joints and wheel bearings.

Mine has tape on the subframe bushings as well. I pretty sure it is to keep the spacers/bushings from falling off when installing the subframe. If tape really was holding your subframe in (as well as mine) you would have much bigger problems. I would check the upper control arm bushing and make sure the knuckle doesn't slide back and forth, I have had this problem on both of my DSMs now

My tsi has the tape too I thought the previous owner was tryin to cover up something till I removed it and seen that the sub frame bushings where ok. I thought it was just mine LOL

I was thinking that too, I'm the 2nd owner of the car and thought that maybe the previous owner was trying to cover something up LOL

no ideas on the brace? 4th picture

Its just a sway bar endlink... or simply endlinks. It wouldnt cause any wheel wobble or vibrations. If anything it might cause some clunking or squeeking. Should be about 20 bucks from auto part store.

Have fun replacing that piece of shit endlink thats messed up on your swaybar. Those things are a PITA when they're not 16 years old.

I'd be willing to put money on it that the endlink in the 4th picture isn't whats causing your wheel to wobble though. It's purpose is tied to the swaybar, not the wheels.

so I might just have a bent rim? :ohdamn:

Its obviously something that rotates. I would hope for a broken belt in the tire, i would say your best chance. Other possibility is bent wheel. or alas bad wheel bearing.

Get your wheel balence at a tire show. It will determain if the vibration is coming from wheel/tire or chassis (bearing)
