Hey all,

Got my exhaust installed yesterday. I decided to go with a test pipe instead of a cat. Anyways...there are 2 non foulers currently being used with the rear o2 sensor, yet I'm still getting a CEL.

Should I even bother trying to install a third non fouler, or is there a better option here?

I didnt get a cel after installing mine...Two should be enough for N/A, but with boost, that might be an issue. I would get a third, and fourth since they come in sets of two :D.

What code are you getting tho? 138 or 140?

o2 sensor heater circuit bank 1 sensor 2

After searching google...it seems that the o2 sensor could be bad, and that replacing it usually fixes the problem.

heater circuit means the sensor isn't heating up, so it sounds like a bad sensor. I did replace my 02 sensor when i did this mod. With the replacement bosch sensor, I had to drill out one of the non-foulers. With the original sensor, there was no need as it fit perfectly, though it was damaged and faulty.

U can try making a o2 box it just fakes the ecu into thinking the sensor is good. I'll post a link when I get home. It's cheaper then buying a new sensor.

Alright that's good to know. The first of the two non foulers was drilled out when it was put in, so I would just have to replace the sensor.

Ya it sounds like you need a new sensor but just for reference if you ever do get a code for the o2 sensor you can stuff a little bit of steel wool in the fouler before you put the sensor in. It works every time.

I was unaware of that. I knew there had to be some other little trick to getting around this. Thanks.

I"m gonna have to look into that.

Yeah sounds like a bad sensor. I have no cat and no non foulers with no cel light.

It seems like a lot of people have no CEL when removing me the cat, which made me curious as to why mine get coming back on after clearing it.

Did some searching online...there are a ton of o2 sensors I can purchase.

What brand do you recommend and why? (oem, denso, bosch, etc...)

The OEM is a denso i believe. If they were the same price or very close, i'd definitely go with the denso.
