I have a 91 Talon awd with a 4 bolt rear. There has been a loud knock that I hear and feel in the rear end when I lift and engage the clutch into gear. I was told it was the carrier bearing bushings. I took the driveshaft off, and yes the bearings were totally shot. Luckily I have a spare which has great bushings on it, after replacing the driveshaft and yoke the loud bang is still there and just as loud as before.
I have searched this problem and all I have found was to replace my driveshaft carrier bearing bushings.

Ok I repalced the rear shocks and springs with new kyb agx shocks and eibach pro kit springs and the noise was still there.
After a long time investigating I found that right where the driveshaft connects to the rear differential the driveshaft is hitting the exhaust. I have an Apexi n1 has anyone come across this before?
