i have a 1g eclipse that i bought a rear dif out of a junk yard for. it is a 3 bolt diff out of a 1991 car. my car is a 1990. both cars are 5 speeds. what i want to know is if there are diffrent ratios in the diffs between years in the 1g cars. i know tht automatic to manual transmissions are diffrent but is there diffrences in 5 spreed diffs?

The ratios are the same. Make sure you are swapping an LSD rear diff with another LSD rear diff, or a non LSD rear diff with another non LSD rear diff. Otherwise, you will have to swap the axles as well.

I know that, there is a difference in a auto car and a manual car. Best bet is to count the teeth in the rear end
