Hey peeps, i was coming home the other nite and i had a very loud vibration coming from my rear diff. I also notice a clicking sound when i would make sharp turns, as i was pulling into my garage my rear wheels felt like they locked up, then as i parked the car i noticed steam coming from the rear, as i looked under to take a peek i seen squirts marks on my muffler and some on the floor?? Is my diff destroyed?? Also notice when i was moving my car in the garage my oil gauge dropped all the way down. I guess when it rains it pours
. One last thing will a 1g rear diff. fit a 2g? thanks for all your help

Not really a surprisse because upon draining the fluid out all I got was about 1 cup worth of paste. Anyway, when replacing the rear diff DO NOT overtighten the top 2 mounting bolts! they actually thread into the cover and put pressure on the main carrier casing. Too much pressure and you'll be leaking fluid out all over again. Good luck! It can be done in about a day if you have some basic knowledge and a good air compressor and air tools.
, thanks
