It wouldnt be so good to put them in with a bolt, especially dry. If you were going to do that, I would replace the bolt. Depending on how much of a press fit it really is, it could really stress the hardware and I wouldnt want to be driving with with something like that. Get press fit lube too! It makes it much easier. You could try an air hammer to get it in, lube up the hole and the bushing and either get a flat piece to use or a tool similar to removing/installing valve guides.
 
can anyone please give me an exact dimensions, so I would be able to fabricate aluminum bushings myself?
