Rear Block Plate FAQ

This post is intended to be a FAQ writeup, so DO NOT post here. I will be posting pics showing the different block plates. and yes, again, these are dark pics. I'll be retaking them, but until then, these will be placeholders.


These pics are taken as if you were looking at the back of the block, at the clutch/flywheel.

This first plate is common across several engines.

1.8L NT, FWD
2.0L NT, FWD
2.0L NT, AWD
2.0L Turbo, AWD

This second plate is unique to the FWD turbo.

The first plate shown above is laid over the Turbo FWD plate:

With the FWD plate on the bottom, and looking at the right side of the plates, notice the differences in the '2 oclock' position:

With the FWD plate on the bottom, and looking at the left side of the plates, notice the differnces in the starter position. This is simply due to a larger diameter flywheel, which inturn then offsets the starter out further.
