REAL quick question (timing belt)

I was doing my timing belt, i know it was out of line when i put it back on, my friend was helping me and he said the crank was really hard to turn at one point but he turned it anyway as if the valves were hitting the pistons, do you think that i bent them or am i safe bc the engine wasnt running and it didnt do it repeatedly, thanks

If the car was off I don't think you put enough stress on the internals or the valves to actually damage anything by hand. Just get the timing and everything set right before cranking it the first time.

Make sure you crank it 1-2 revolutions by hand and check that you marks still line up before you start it.
