Only if you have an aftermarket fuel pump. they say for evo 8 fuel pumps and walbro 190 fuel pumps, the stock fpr will work just fine but anything bigger than that you will need an afpr.

Its not recommended that you throw in injectors without upgrading the fuel pump.

I have no means of tuning i was just thinking of slap them in and go. but if thats not the case or not a good idea lmk

If you want your car to run like shit then slap them in and go. Injectors are not a slap in and go ordeal. They REQUIRE tuning.

ok i was just weighing my options. BC i need my car running and had 2 oem injectors go out and seen 550's for not much more than 450's so i figured what the hell. but if it requiers that much more than it will have to wait for another time. Thanks guys

Really. What if I install 550 or 650s in my 2g, what would be good to use.

Like i said before, it is not recommended that you do throw in 550s or 650s on a stock fuel system. The car will run like crap if you have no way to tune. the only reason it works on his 1g is because the 2g maf leans it out just enough where he has a good a/f ratio. On a 2g, you would need an evo 8 maf to lean out enough to have an ok tune. a lot of guys on here run walbro 190's (almost the same flow as an evo 8 fuel pump) evo 560cc injectors and an evo maf. there is little to no tuning involved but should def have some sort of tuning device such as an safc, dsmlink, etc to be on the safe side.

If you did throw in those injectors on a 1g, the 550's or 650's like to see a base fuel pressure of 43psi as for 1gs the stock fuel pressure regulator is only set at 37 psi. So even then you would need either a 2g fpr, a 1g automatic fpr, or an afpr. IMHO i think you should just stick with your oem injectors until you can properly upgrade your fuel system without having the trouble of going through all this.

Im running oem injectors and yet im still running pretty rich for some reason. But also i cant put my o2 sensor in 3" housing bc it wont fit between the oil pipe that runs across the front of the block
