Ready to re-torque?

I would wait until the engine goes through a couple of heat cycles. I typically re-torque after 100 miles. I only boost the first time the engine is started after putting the head on.

What type of H/g is it First of all...?
Did you mean you warmed it up 1/4 of the way?
I'm not sure about all H/g's but for my Titan Copper H/g they say to bring it up to temp once WITHOUT putting a load on the motor as soon as it is heated up to let it cool and to releave the friction set an RETQ. the head one Stud at a Time...
I never did it like that before with diferant H/g I've used in the past but it seem to me that it would work very well.... I don't know personly myself because i've yet to do it (motors going back in this week)
But I did read a post form Busher Racing about when they blew a H/g running 30+psi and swaped it out for an Titan one they had sitting for a while and Did it just like that and had 0 problems (the Titan Gasket where tested to 43psi when made)
I'm not sure if this is getting off topic but thought I would put my .02 in :thumb:

Just do what I said. It has worked for me on a Cometic mls gasket and a Mitsubishi composite gasket.
