I would agree.. Check your coil packs first.. Since it is a 96, You won't have many options. If I am correct there is no external transisitor and the Spark is controlled from the CAS on the block.. not the head.. Someone please chime in if i have this backwards..

EDIT:

If you have a spark plug tester, that is relatively easy to perform and will set you in the right direction..

Check for fuel and spark first then try to narrow it down. If it was my car I would say wiring. I don't know your car at all or even if there's any mods done. More info is needed but check the basics first.

Thanks and my car is stock and i no before it went out sometimes it felt like a it was missing but didnt notice it much and it just has the sound like its not getting fire and since i moved im very very limited on tools LOL. How should i check for spark?! And whats my chances of it firing up changing out the coil if there is no spark?! Btw the plugs an wires are basically new.

Did it ever throw a CEL?

Easiest way is to ground one of your spark plug boots to the chassis..

Or if your faint of heart, just connect a spark plug to the boot and watch for a spark in between the diodes while turning the engine over.. May require a buddy..

Naw never popped up just shut off while i was driving an that was all she wrote. I tried the plug test an never got spark so i think im gonna just get a coil pack tomorrow and hope for the best. If i get a msd coil pack do i need anything else for it like upgraded wires or would bosch work for the time being?!

Nothing extra is needed. The MSD is just rated upto 40K volts which is great. You can always add the DIS system to it as a compliment ;)
