i pullled this code 43 which is a random misfire in all cyls. yesterday i pulled code 11 crsnk sensor i replaced that and its wires, now this code dealing with same problems comes on. what can i do??

Ona 2g, misfires are mainly caused by:

*CAS
*Crank Sensor
*Spark Plugs
*Spark Plug Wires
*Coil Packs

Since you replaced the crank sensor and spark plug wires,

make sure the firing order is correct
Try pulling each spark plug wire one by one and check for spark
Take a look at the spark plugs to make sure they're not toast

Spark plug wires have been swapped out 3 different times with 3 different kinds, i went to NGK 8mm or w.e..

Spark plugs were taken out and replaced with Iridiums which didnt do anything. to help

Crank sensor and clip/harness are brand new.

CAS has oil on it and looks badly wired??

Coil pack has 150K on it?

The car will jolt and put when in low rpms in like first gear at slower speeds its very put-like. When i let off gas it sputters on the way down. It also idles like crap, and smells a little rich out the tail pipe.

but the code 43 is still on so..anything else? What are side effects of bad coil pack, or CAS? Thanks guys.

I own a GS and a GST and have gone through this on both vehicles and both it was something different that was wrong...

for an engine to run right you need fuel, spark, and air. your saying that you can smell fuel so that would be the last thing Id check since odds are its there. you've checked nearly everything for spark as well but you can do a few other checks to make sure everythings good before you start throwing money at it and guessing whats wrong.
if you haven't already... start your car and the one at a time pull off your spark plug wires and see if its sparking down inside there. (don't touch it cause if it does have spark you'll shock yourself) if they've all got good spark then its probably nothing electrical, if they don't then go to autozone and buy a Chiltons manual (if you don't already have one) and check out a multimeter (its free, just give them your ID or leave a deposit) pull all the spark plug wires off the coil and flip to the page of your chiltons that tells you the measurements you should read across it. if it checks good you just saved yourself $100.00 replacing it... check the plastic connector that connects to the CAS. the connector on the back of my CAS was cracked so once it would lose connection my car would start throwing the misfire CEL no matter how many times i replaced the CAS, it was the connector going to it that was bad. If youve got a buddy with a N/T ECU ask him if you can borrow it for a few minutes. it doesn't take long to disconnect yours and try a known good one real quick... that could be the issue as well. if its not spark replace the fuel filter (since you probably should anyway) and start at the fuel injectors working your way back to the pump.

good luck and let us know what you find out!

A bad Coilpack/CAS will cause misfire

Fix the bad wiring on the CAS and try replacing the Coilpacks 1st..

*A free way to check if its the coilpacks (if you dont have a volt meter)
buy a new one from an autoparts store, test it on your car.. if nothing changes just return it and get your money back...

yeah i have invested 1200 into this fluke multimeter but how do i check the coil pack with it?? because the fuse is only good for like 5000V not the huge amount the coil puts out!!
Thanks

Auto parts stores in my area do not take electronic parts back. Make sure you ask before trying something like this.

Make sure you stay away from NGK Iridiums cause they are terrible. My car ran so bad on those...what a waste of money. Luckily, they took the plugs back and refunded my cash. :hellyeah:

LOL 2slow!! i know for real, i had the MSD super cod. wires running with ngk iridiums and it was the worst set-up i have ever seen. So i went and got the the "goods" ngk about a month ago which were like 1.49$ a piece and the NGK plug wires. it ran like boss up until now!! How can i check that firggen coil pack?!?!? ### i can see spark obviously but it has random misfires??..so i want to use my multimeter but theres two much voltage...BTW..whats a transistor?!?

and what are symptoms of bad CAS

PS> My airfilter is also SUPER loud at start and the airfilter sounds like a fricken jet taking off for about 50 seconds or more!!

well the light came on 3 times in a row at the same exact spot on the highway at 75 mph.......SAME SPOT!! is there like a invisible ray across the highway trigering this?? wtf! all three from the way home from work? cant figure it out. This car has always idled crappy. Now its got a code out of the blue? checked the ignition coil checked out good but you cant ever really trust resistance you really need to test while somethings under load. anway..more to test then.

could my alternator belt thats starting to shred be a problem?? my alternator sits a little cockeyed and its tearing my gatorbacks up!!
