Hey all!
I need to take my radio out to see if a few wires are connected right to the back of it, and as you all know our Eclipses radios are pretty theft proof (IMO at least). So i was wondering how i get the paneling off to get access to my radio? I see the paneling goes all the way to the shifter knob.
Thanks!!

that trim piece over the radio comes off by itself, get something under near the hvac knobs and get a piece of it you can pull...
might help if you take the side panels off the console, the screws on the front are hard to reach, might want to loosen it up from the sides of the brackets...

If only the theives thought so.

Snap out the bezel that goes up around the heater controls, pop out the ashtray/cupholder, remove the 4 screws (two by the radio, two under the ashtray), unscrew the shifter knob, lift up on the console, unhook the cigarette lighter wires and the light for the ashtray, put the console in the back seat, and unscrew the 4 screws holding the radio mounts. Use a magnetic screwdriver and don't drop the effing screws.
