My radiator gets so hot after 15 minutes of driving. The mph guage gets stuck at 20. It shuts down after more driving, I put it in 1st but it acts like nuetral. I only have 1 fan but that doesnt work. I took out the AC for less weight. Im new to this car thing. This is my first car and im still learning. Heres a view:

yes it will over heat without a fan working , it looks like its a aftermaket fan so check the power and ground going to the fan/relay whatever your using to run the fan.

Yes it will overheat. You must have a fan working on these cars, they produce a lot of heat.. If the car doesn't want to go, then it sounds like you may have done some damage, like a blown head gasket if you're lucky.

Good luck with the repairs.

Is the fan wired correctly? And +1 on the thermostat check it out and make sure it is functioning properly.
